Thanksgiving 2016

Thanksgiving has arrived and like every year I will be hosting for my family. As you all know I am currently a culinary student and I am happy to start sharing recipes with a sort of fancy flare. My skills have certainly matured a bit and cooking has become more enjoyable for me. This year instead of the faithful old mashed potatoes I will be making Gratin Dauphinois, a creamy cheesy baked casserole styled potato dish that is similar to scallop potatoes. The recipe is in fact from my Fundamentals of Classical Techniques class.

Now for the fashion, every year I choose to overdress while cooking because I like to sip wine, listen to music and BE fabulous 🙂 . This year I wanted to take one of my favorite Carrie Bradshaw looks and turn it into the perfect Thanksgiving host look. Comfy and chic.
