When fashion stops being fun and starts becoming a job you must take a step back and re-evaluate your style. You see fashion should never be stressful but rather a pleasant way of self expression.
Hello-Good Bye Fall 2015!!!
My take on fashion has always been based on my mood. However, the older I get the more I aspire to be who I want to be. Before, I used to purchase all these cute looks and waited for a perfect outing. Now, I still purchase all those cute outfits but I wear them whenever my heart desires…which means any time I step out my house. This Fall I am really into just exploring “class.” I want to look classy but comfortable enough to stop drop and handstand haha. I want classy with my own twist basically. I am obsessed with Princess Kate, Lauren Conrad, Blake Lively, and our own Lidia. They are sexy without showing too much skin. I find there is something so high-end about them but yet still humble. They are fashion perfection.
As the trends keep on getting more outrageous in the high end world we have to learn to pick what fits us and toss away what is just dumb. This fall trends do not seem to be only about the toasty warm colors but about bold colors too. We also have the patterns that will slowly transition us into winter and spring. Patterns such as the lovely multi-chain print below by Louis Vuitton.
Another big trend this season is the oversized coats; boxy big ones, over form hugging ensembles. Just like the look below from Topshop.
The knee high boots are huge this fall and this time they are being worn casually . This style of shoe is no longer synonymous with a “Pretty Woman” look. They are on every fashionista this fall, including some of our faves! 😉
Since we reside in the south, our fall tends to be longer than the rest of the country, and our winters shorter but a bit shady and rainy. One day may be freezing and the next we may be in the 80’s. Light below the knee length coats are perfect, I keep one puffy jacket for the really cold days. Nothing crazy, a black one will make it simple for you since black is a universal color. As for accessories, scarves and faux fur pieces will keep you looking glamorous. Dress warm, dress comfortable, and dress like who you really want to look like.
I know I might sound like a broken record, but as a new mom everything I do or wear must be comfy and easy! I have to be able to move and run after my baby and feel comfortable in my new post baby body. But as a fashion lover I don’t want to lose my touch when it comes to looking good too. I choose flats over heels most of the time, but I rock my heels when time and energy permit. 😉 I gravitate towards lots of solid bold colors and form flattering cuts to help me feel better with what I’m wearing. There’s no need to leave fashion behind when you are choosing comfort as you can see in the pics above and below. Give your confidence a boost using the hottest trends this season! 💋
Holidays are simple. Keep it sassy, know your style and your comfort level. The holidays call for glamour so don’t be afraid of sequins and over the top looks. We love really extravagant make up to match the endless amount of celebration. We are never afraid to make it grand. Below are two ideas that we hope will get your wheels turning.
Ps. Shoes, shoes, shoes!!! Make them high or make them bright.
