Essential of the Month- October 2013

There is a business woman in every fashionista, we always say. At some point in our lives we all have had the need to let our professional side out. Because of this we have chosen the business suit as our “Essential of the Month” for October.

Chic in black with a skinny leg

Wether you’re interviewing for a new job position or attending a business meeting/event, we’ve agreed that every woman should own at least one business suit. If you don’t usually find yourself in suits but wish to add one to your wardrobe, we recommend you opt for buying the basic: a go-to black or navy suit. These colors make the suit a staple and a great choice for a first business suit.

A little plaid and wide leg can go a long way…

Now, if you prefer something more edgy, try some bold colors or a skinny pant leg versus the usual boyfriend cut. Even a wide leg pant will add a little ”Je ne sais quoi.” For those of us who don’t mind a little extra attention, a red suit is perfection. A woman in red is unforgettable, a woman in a red suit is powerful! Regardless of your color preference, these holidays don’t be afraid to ask Santa for a business suit. 😉

We loved the burgundy color suit from Victoria’s Secret Izzy is wearing. We found the color to be fitting for fall but friendly enough for the rest of the seasons. As with any suit you will always have the option to wear it together or separate. Use your suit’s pants paired with a lovely blouse and a bold heel for an edgier secretary look. Or throw your suit’s blazer on top of your jeans and tee to spruce up your quick and comfy look. The suit is just a little pocket of endless options.

Trust us, a business suit is a great investment even if you don’t consider yourself a fashionista. H&M, Express, New York & Company, and Victoria’s Secret have awesome options. 😉

So get to shopping,
